At London Cruisers, we offer a welcoming and inclusive space for LGBT+ folks to enjoy basketball, whether you’re an experienced player or just starting out. Based in East London, we currently have two teams who also train and compete together on occasion, fostering a strong sense of teamwork and support across all skill levels.
Cruisers 1
Our first team trains twice a week, with sessions on Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons, focusing on advanced skills and team strategies. We also compete in the London Metropolitan Basketball League, showcasing our dedication and passion for the game.
Cruisers 2
For those looking for a more casual and fun environment, our second team meets every Sunday afternoon. This team focuses on skill-building, learning the game, and enjoying basketball at a relaxed pace.
Building Skills and Connections
To support both teams, we offer additional training sessions for all members, creating opportunities for skill development, stronger connections, and a sense of community. Beyond weekly training, we regularly participate in tournaments and friendly games both locally and abroad. Each year, we also organise our own tournament in London, bringing together LGBT+ teams from across Europe and the UK. In all our teams and events, we prioritize creating a supportive and inclusive space where everyone feels welcomed, encouraged, and valued.
